Grazie Ypsini e Ypsi and Love

We’re very excited to announce that Junior Boys join to Ypsi Fest ’11 Line Up.
Junior Boys released the first single from their forthcoming album It’s All True out on Domino Records June 14th (US) and July 4th (UK/EU).
The track is called Banana Ripple and its 9+ minutes dance hit glory Junior Boys bask in a multitude of cultural, geographic, and gastronomic touchstones: namely Orson Welles, Howard Hughes, China, in particular Shanghai, Japan (the band, not the country) Banana Ripple ice cream, Carl Craig and analogue synths.
As Mojo wrote an America’s last genius has returned with his beautiful, deeply intimate new album, Last Of The Country Gentlemen (Mute, march 2011).
The former Lift To Experience frontman is a man whose legendary musical output has only grown in stature.
“Pearson is a one of kind artist and words can’t describe how fucking good Last Of The Country Gentlemen is – heavy, beautiful and brilliant”, Mark Lanegan said.
We’re very happy to announce the confirmation of Twin Shadow in Ypsi Fest ’11 Line Up.
Born in the Dominican Republic, raised in Brooklyn via Florida (U.S.), George Lewis , Jr. aka Twin Shadow released in 2010, with Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor handling production, his first album Forget (4AD/Terrible): One of the prettiest electronic-based records in quite some time arrived via the craftsmanship of George Lewis, Jr., who records as Twin Shadow. With a touch of Kraftwerk-ian minimalism, but the warmth of an endless, summer night in Scandinavia, Lewis’ debut, Forget, is nothing but memorable (Spin) (8.4 rating on Pitchfork).
We are happy to announce that Mount Kimbie has joined the Ypsi Fest ’11 Line Up.
The electronic duo from London (UK) is made up of Kai Campos and Dom Maker and is arguably responsible for the birth of the term “post-dubstep”
In early 2009 they released their debut EP, Maybes, via the Hotflush Recordings label.
Later in the year a second EP, Sketch on Glass, appeared and was followed by remixes for the likes of the Big Pink, Foals, and The XX.
