From Palermo: By car it should take about 45 mins. Take the A19 highway and follow it for about 40 Km, then change to the A20 highway (Palermo-Messina) and take the exit at Castelbuono. Then follow the SS 286 for the next 14km at which point you will arrive in Castelbuono. Finding Piazza Castello will be very easy. We suggest that you park your car behind the castle, there you’ll find a large public parking area.
From Messina: It takes around 2 hours to get to Castelbuono. Take the A20 highway and follow it for about 130 Km, exiting at Castelbuono. Then take the SS 286 for the next 14km, then you will arrive in Castelbuono, finding Piazza Castello will be very easy. From Catania: It takes approximately 2hrs 15mins to get to Castelbuono. Take the A18-E45 highway and follow it for about 6.2 Km, then follow the sign for PALERMO and carry on along the A19 highway for the next 148.3 Km. Exit at the BUONFORNELLO junction and follow the signs for Cefalù. At first possible entrance, take the A20 highway (Palermo-Messina) and exit at Castelbuono. Then follow the SS 286 for the last 14km at which point you will arrive in Castelbuono, finding Piazza Castello will be very easy. Nearest Airport “Falcone Borsellino – Palermo”: To get from the airport to Palermo city centre there are regular coaches, journey time to the final stop at Palermo central train station is around 50mins. Next to the train station you’ll find the bus station where you can take a coach to Castelbuono. The coach company S.A.I.S. links Palermo to Castelbuono in about 1 hr 20 mins. By car the airport it takes around 30mins to get to Palermo, follow the highway from the AEROPORTO PUNTA RAISI junction for 5.6 Km, then follow the sign CARINI/TORRETTA, turn right and go along the A29 highway for 19.2 Km in the direction of PALERMO.
Nearest Railway Station Cefalù: it’s just 20 Km from Castelbuono, there are many coaches run throughout the day by the company S.A.I.S., journey time is approx. 40mins.
